On the morning of Thursday, July 22, members of ELNOSA Workers’ Committee presented a batch of food products to the local soup kitchen of San Francisco’s church, where every day the food needs of more than 150 destitute persons are met.

On this occasion, it was announced that the collaboration with this institution has been constant for more than three years. It was at the end of 2013 when the workers' representatives proposed to their colleagues the possibility of contributing monthly to this cause. The idea was well received by the vast majority of workers. At the same time, the company committed to making a contribution equal to that made by the whole staff, and therefore in this way the annual aid reaches almost 7,000 euros.

It was the council of workers who made the decision to make public this social action: "We are in the streets protesting to defend our jobs, but we also carry out this other kind of actions of which we are very proud, and we intend to continue doing so as long as we can." The Franciscan Fr. Gonzalo Diéguez who leads this important institution for Pontevedra thanked the constant contributions, both to the company and the workers.
